That's why whenever you do your shopping, take your mind and leave your heart. The wise buy always pays back. Like that evening dress(seen here) which proved to be a great uniform for any situation.

January for me has always been a hell, probably because of the usual blackhole before the birthday. This one was not an exception. I passed through so many challenges this month(car crash, tyre repairs, monitor death and actually, many more) and yet still have power to feel happy. The last thing that happened was losing the Internet connection. Most bloggers will probably spend thousand of nerves on this issue as their business heavily rely on posts and visits. I took a different approach-treated as a small holiday that I'm giving to myself away from the web community. I'm glad I did. My mind is fresh as new, full with ideas, solving any problem in my head within a click. Sometimes we have to realize how heavily we depend on technology way too much. And it should be the opposite way round.

Януари по принцип си е жив ад за мен, обяснявайки си го със Сатурновата дупка преди рожден ден. Този също не беше изключение. Минах толкова много изпитания в рамките на броени дни(катастрофа, изгърмяване на гума на колелото, внезапна смърт на монитор и всъщност, списъкът е направо безкраен) и все още се чувствам щастлив. Последното нещо за капак бе загубата на интернет. Повечето блогъри да са посивели от нерви, тъй като бизнесът им разчита главно на постове и брой посещения. Аз погледнах на нещата от другата им страна-реших, че това е малка почивка да се оттърся от мрежата. Радвам се, че го направих. Умът ми е отново бистър, пълен с идеи, способен да разреши трезво проблемите в главата. Истината е, че трябда да си дадем сметка колко зависими сме станали от технологията. А не трябва ли да бъде обратното?

Shopping Therapy: Lucky Final

When it comes to shopping, I can call myself lucky. Remember the wishlist I was chasing? That was the short, essential one. There's was one longer, in case the sales are good this year. And they were brilliant. Prices were literally dropping within days. Unexpectedly, I managed to fulfil the list. Actually, worse-I literally went crazy. So crazy that I'm scared to count. I'm weak to fear the summary of this Xmas reductions. So many pair of shoes, so many other things. That's why I'm stepping back from shopping. Yes, you read it right. I'm giving up my obsession. Staying focused on my plans is my prerogative. Long term goals are far more important to achieve. And it should be easy to follow. At the end, I've got everything I wanted for. And please, don't think Shopping Therapy will stop. With my bigger Xmas wishlist it will be possible to post for long time. In fact, for a very long time.

Когато става дума за намаленията, мога да се нарека свободно късметлия. Помните ли списъка, който гоних? Е, това беше краткият му, базов вариант. Имаше и още един, по-дълъг, в случай, че разпродажбите са добри. Те, обаче, бяха невероятни. Цените падаха буквално в рамките на ден-два. Аз успях да изпълня плана. Всъщност, още по-зле-направо полудях. Толкова много, че ме е страх да преброя покупките. Нямам сили дори да си направя равносметка от тези Коледни намаления. Толкова много обувки, толкова много други неща. Ето затова си давам почивка. Да, прочетохте правилно. Отказвам се от моята мания, поне за известно време. Да се съсредоточа върху плановете си е моят приоритет. Дълготрайните цели са тези, които трябва да гоня, не токчетата по магазините. А и би трябвало това да бъде лесно за осъществяване. В крайна сметка купих всичко, което пожелах. Не се притеснявайте, Shopping Therapy ще продължи на блога. Толкова много покупки няма как да се покажат за кратко. А те наистина са много.

I still remember the exact day: 22 November 2011. The day seemed absolutely fine until a close friend decided to leave to work. This unexpected decision hit me badly, emotions started passing through my heart and the result was pretty obvious later: permanent hiccups. I had to zero my feelings by distracting myself and what works best is window, in this case online browsing. Seeing this on ASOS was like a mirage. Being so popular, I knew they disappeared ages ago only to come back again in a last pair in the size I need for literally fraction of the price. Three clicks and they were already on the way to home. At the same time the hiccups had vanished. Shopping therapy could really be mind therapy.

Още помня точната дата: 22 Ноември 2011. Денят изглеждаше обикновен, докато близък приятел не подаде молба за напускане. Това неочаквано решение ме порази силно, всякакви емоции завладяха сърцето и резултатът беше очевиден-започнах да хълцам. Знаех, че трябва да замразя чувствата си, като се поразсея с малко блеене в някой онлайн магазин. Да срещна тези обувки в АСОС си беше истински мираж. Изключително популярни(повечето от вас сигурно ги знаят), те изчезнаха буквално за нула време от сайта, за да се завърнат отново в един-единствен последен чифт в точния размер за буквално трохички от оригиналната им цена. Три клика с мишката и вече пътуваха за вкъщи. Едновременно с това хълцането беше изчезнало. Шопинг терапията наистина помага.

Maxi skirts are typical for winter, but mainly in dark plain colors(black, grey, brown, beige and many other dull ones). People say the chilly weather make us feel uninspired but I can hardly agree on this myth. It's down on us to decide how we would like to walk in the snow. Boring or being fun-the dilemma is that simple. Don't forget we live only once-have fun, no regrets.

Дългите поли са сред популярните за зимата, но предимно в тъмни убити цветове-черно, сиво, кафяво, бежово и други подобни. Хората казват, че вината е във времето, защото ни кара да загубим всякакво вдъхновение. Аз, обаче, не съм съгласен с този мит. Всичко зависи от нас, не от времето, затова как ще се носим сред снеговете. Да бъдем скучни или да се забавляваме-това е дилемата. Не забравяйте-живеем по веднъж, няма място за скрупули.

This knitted sweater is probably as old as the world. Well, not really but it's has spent good 10 years in my wardrobe. On top I bought it from a second hand shop so who knows really its actual age. First it was mine, then donated to my family as part of home clothing, after that it participated in a photoshoot and since then it has been lying calmly on the shelf. All these years passed and memories it carries makes it precious and loved. That's why I picked it back and gave it some good new life here in London. If only clothes could tell their stories.

Този пуловер е стар колкото света. Е, може би не чак толкова, но е прекарал едни добри 10 години в гардероба ми. Сдобих се с него от един магазин втора употреба, така че знае ли някой наистина възрастта му. Пуловерът си има и дълга история вкъщи-първо ми принадлежеше, после го подарих на семейството ми, за да го разхождат вкъщи, след това беше сниман в една фотосесия и оттогава си лежеше спокойно на рафта с останалите дрехи. Всички тези изминали години и спомени го правят изключително ценен и обичан. Затова си го взех обратно и му дадох нов живот тук в Лондон. Ако можеха само дрехите да разказват своите истории.

This outfit sums up my Xmas presents. I said before I didn't expect anything, but it seems last year I was a good boy and Santa decided to award me generously. The cool hi-tops, the reversed sweat top, the elephant necklace are all items that remind me of the past holidays. Moreover, it was the company of people I was surrounded by that made the celebrations unforgivable.

Winter is probably the least loved season from all. Mud, snow, clouds, fog, chill-there are way too many things to deal with. On the opposite site, winter with a bright strong sun is just a miracle. Shopping Therapy: Vintage, Metallic, Furry

If I have to use three words to describe my current shopping mood, that will be vintage, metallic and furry. Why particularly these ones, you can tell by the pictures below. The most precious finding is Noah's Ark bracelet. I find it simply amazing with all the animals walking in couples towards the ship-saviour. The other twos are just small additions to the daily routine that can remind me life could be still fun.

The whole VM team has taken the department store display to a complete new level-a real art rather than just clothes/shoes/bags compositions. A Xmas window takes a full year to plan in advance. This year brought more than I ever expected. From all professional challenges, blogger inspirations and personal achievements what will remain strongest as memories are the trips I did. Within 12 months I managed to visit Marakech, Bali, Rome and Amsterdam-places so inspiring yet so different.

In the last hours of the year all I'm wishing for is to visit at least the same number of cities. That's is my resolution for 2012-less shopping, more travelling. That is my wish to you-to travel until you get tired. To visit places until you feel exhausted. To meet cultures that inspire you. To live your life on the move. The year is almost to an end. If you haven't sorted the NYE outfit yet, it's probably about time to start. If not, you're risking to panic last minute. Our outfit is well prepared: designer dress(by talented Igor Iliovski), multi strap sandals and thick wool coat to protect while jumping on the route home-taxi-NYE event. A small clutch bag and fine jewelry are also inevitable. Don't forget-the preparation is half the celebration.

If I disappear from the blog on the 26th of December, there's one simple answer to that: BOXING DAY SALES. I'm extremely organised when it comes to that time of the year. I do a short list of the items I'll be chasing throughout the stores, visit them early in the morning(very early to be precise) and spend no more than 10 minutes within a shop. Shops to visit: up to 10. Total shopping should be no longer than hour and a half. Everything above that makes the experience unpleasant and tiring. This Xmas I was lucky again to get most of the items I was chasing plus a few extra ones that makes the experience even more satisfying. Of course, I'll share some bargains, which you can expect to see soon.

This Xmas I went a bit unusuall with the decorations and took my shoes obsession as an inspiration for the holidays. Red sling heels, sequin courts and metallic scyscrappers all found their place under the tree. So did my red knitted hat too that it's currently playing the role of a tree top. The fair isle printed jumper joined the company by sitting in the basket neatly. For Xmas, the preparation before makes half the holiday.

There are things that comes with age and these are self-respect and self-confidence from all these year full of life experience. That's why if a 20-year-old girl and a 40+-year lady pull out the same outfit(not teenage clothes), the second one will be more successful. In addition, what makes this theory closer to truth is one simple fact: there are so many young stylish girls, there are less fashionable ladies. The 40+ immediately turns into a rare gem amongst the sea of grey and black stones. This Xmas holidays she'll be a red star.

С възрастта идват себеуважението и самочувствието, подхранени от годините житейски опит. Затова ако едно 20-годишно момиче и една 40-годишна жена облекат една и съща комбинация(не говорим за тийнеджърски дрехи, нали), втората със сигурност ще бъде по-успешната. Once in a post I said: "There's something a bit melanholic about it as it reminds me of the golden times of Valentino-long silky lively dresses, skirts full of volume, statement hats. Women, unfortunately, has lost their grace during time in the will to be equal to men, even in clothing too. I wish I could see such ladies of glamour more often." Looking through this book really proves women used to be a classy, timeless, posh, respectful, full of charm and aura, refined and feminine and more important-ALL these at once. For those who believe the same can expect 300 pages of Valentino's best creations within time. 300 pages full of inspiration that time hasn't managed to put "OUTDATED" mark on.

Shopping online with no returns available is risky, especially for shoes. I never planned these, but they just added to the basket to save on shipping so the other two pairs were worth it as a good deal. When the delivery came, I felt sad because of my emotional purchase(again) that I didn't like them in real. My negative emotions however disappeared the moment I saw these beauties on the feet. Suddenly they turned from a beast to a beauty. With the leather laces they look like a corset and that for me brings a giant amount of femininity. I'm glad I was lucky again. One of my favorite heels so far.

Hello from Amsterdam! I did follow my usual routine by taking a short vacation in early December, just before all the rush around the holidays. DIY: Feathers on a Leash

I couldn't miss the H&M and Versace collaboration as I'm a fan of the Italian brand. The bright glitsy kitsch which Donatella and her team had came up for the campaign fitted my weird taste perfectly. With all the shopping I have done within the years, I can now say that it takes me a quick glimpse only to know if an item feels mine or not. Even if there's a slight incertainity it literally means I have to give up no matter the price. I really have reduced the shopping for me only to a few things and amongst the recent ones are the flower sweat top and the wool blazer, in which I can probably during the colder months. At the same time, with the start of December it feels extremely good to welcome back my favorite boots. My plans are to spend the whole winter with them.This is how big my love is.

Shopping Therapy: A Pin Got Right Through My Heart

With some(most) shoes it's a love from a first sight. I remember seeing this for the first time and believe, I had the feeling the thin pin got me right through the heart. It was love. At that time I had to leave them, but I left my soul too until we re-united recently again. I'm sure you consider me crazy(you're probably not far from the truth), thinking who the hell can walk in these? Trust me, they are extremely well balanced and comfy. Difficult to imagine that? It was hard for me to believe in too, but my favorite shoe brand knows how to make heels.
